This Original Turbodecoder tool is made for fast opening and decode of VAG locks – Audi, VW, Porsche, Skoda, Seat and other car brands.

It can open door and trunk locks of the second locks generation. That version of the lock they start to mount on the vehicles from 2005 and keep using it till 2017 when the new lock come – 168 T profile:

Let us explain the difference between both lock generations.

vag 1 generation:

in the locks 1 generation the arrangement of the plates is one left, one right and so on.

vag 2 generation:

in the 2-generation locks the plates are two on the left two on the right and so on.

The profile of the lock remain HU66 for both generations. This is a little confusing but it’s a fact.

The HUF automotive lock manufacturer has incorporated several basic safety mechanisms that have increased the security level of the locks. Let me introduce you to these novelties. First of all, there is an advanced scroll clutch, thanks to which the locks are very sensitive to any rotational stress caused by anything other than the original key.
In addition, this clutch is further divided into 2 parts – front and rear. The front does not allow the application of rotational tension through traditional unlocking pick tools. The second part does not allow the use of selected or imitation keys as well as different power tools. There is also a third protection system – special anti pick false cuts of the wafers and the stationary part of the lock. This makes manipulation difficult and in order for a successful unlocking is necessary  serious practical training on the part of the operator or locksmith. So we can offer you an adequate solution for opening those locks with Turbo Decoder Generation 2/6. We just followed the layout of the lock wafers/ discs or plates / by placing double sliding pins on a common base. Now opening, decoding and locksmith service is not a problem with our device.

In order to understand the locks generation and their orientation please use our VAG tester key. It come with your turbo decoder HU66.

How it work –

Insert the tester key into the VAG lock. Look at the metal part stop point. If the key stop with the red point touch the face of the lock – you have to deal with 1 st generation lock. If it stop with the GREEN point – the lock is 2 generation. If both dots are away from the lock face  – no information. In this case extract the tester , reverse it and insert again . Now you will see some of the described scenarios.

On your Turbodecoder we have engraved two orientation points over the Pin bar activator wheel or middle wheel. You will see that sign with writen “orientation” . Use the orientation points to orientate the tool when you insert it into the lock and ensure that it direction / left or right / match with the points of the plastic head of your tester key. That info from the tester key must be taken at the moment when your GREEN metal stop point touch the face of the lock.

Opening procedure:

Once you have established the correct orientation of the lock, insert the tool to the end of the lock. Prior to the insertion, make sure that the turbo wheel has been in the extreme right rotation and that the pin activator wheel is in the extreme forward position!

Once reaching the end of the insertion, pull the pin activator wheel back to the rear. You will see “stop points”. Apply the rotational tension to the right on the front TENSION wheel, hold the tension, and turn the rear TURBO  wheel until its indicator line indicates the sector number 1 engraved on the pin activator wheel. Immediately afterwards, turn the turbo wheel to the extreme right position and only then release the front wheel rotating tension.

pump stop 2:

pump stop 3 :

pump sttop point 4:

repeat all the same but change the tension wheel direction – use now left tension.

The good practice is to make about 20 “pumps” by stop at this point 1 stop sector. If the lock is not opened just increase the stop sector to 2. stay there for 20 more pumps, still locked – go to stop at third stop point., Yes, 20 times on 3 and if no result make 10 – 15 stops at sector 4 . Somewhere the unlock will happen..

Now , if the goal is to unlock – you have it done! If you have to decode that lock please do not remove the turbodecoder! TO GET ONE CLEAR LOCK COMBINATION PLEASE DO NEXT STEPS:

turn the tool in some direction – no matter lock or unlock , stay turned and do one final pump with the turbo wheel and make it line to point at stop sector 4!

Juggle the tool whie it is turned . To juggle please follow the plane of the key blade! By doing that all codes will impress the pins in a good clear code position!

Then extract the tool ! Please !! to estract it correctly do those steps:

rotate the tool in neutral lock position , turn the turbo wheel all the way to the right, push forward the pin activator wheel and only then you can extract the turbodecoder from the lock. To read the code:

pull back the pin activator wheel , rotate the turbo wheel all to the left – line to 4 th stop sector and then look the pins in the order shown on the pictures below: help your self bu use code reference lines visible along the key blade! remember – 1 st line is indicator for code 2, second line give you code 3 and 3 th one is for deepth of code 4.
